​RECRUITING INFORMATION FOR ATHLETES AND PARENTS

1. Choose schools that you would be interested in attending

• What matters to you most?
• Potential majors
• Different levels of play

2.  Academic requirements

• NCAA Core Requirements
• Test scores (ACT/SAT)
• Different requirements for different schools

3.  Register with the NCAA Clearinghouse

• NAIA
• NJCAA

4.  Create a video

• Include skills and training, unedited game footage, and quirky cuts of you interacting with your teammates.
• Identify yourself in the game footage.

5.  Market yourself and create your brand on social media

• Fill out questionnaires and send in video/highlight film.
• Email coaches at schools you are interested in and consistently follow up with them.
• Engage with coaches on social media.
• Use hashtags on your video and picture posts to gain exposure.

6. Attend camps and schedule visits

• This usually happens after you have been talking with coaches for a while, and there is mutual interest.
