Coach kelsey starnes

Kelsey has played volleyball since the fourth grade; CYO, Travel Club, High School and College. She is a graduate from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago, where she competed on the Women’s Volleyball team for 4 years. She played as a Libero/DS and served as a vocal leader for her team. Kelsey helped lead her college team to the NCAA division III conference playoffs twice during her collegiate career, making history for IIT.

Before venturing to Chicago for college, Kelsey played at the Varsity level at LCN all 4 years of High School. She was co-captain, and co-MVP her last year and holds the LCN season high for aces and career high for aces and digs. She has coached all-skills camps and private training for defense and serving. Prior to High School, Kelsey was a 3 sport athlete; Volleyball, Basketball and Softball. She is a compassionate player and coach with a fierce competitive spirit, and possesses a keen eye for the fundamentals and an expert awareness of court logistics. This holistic understanding allows her to build confidence in every player she guides.
